The Paton’s meat manufacturing business, supplying fresh meat products to the UK’s major supermarkets. Established in 2007, the business has employed up to 70 local people in it’s workforce.
We hae meat was named by Scotland’s Food & Drink Federations as “Scotland’s Most Sustainable Food Business” in 2023.
An exceptional case study of a successful family-run farming operation, We hae meat has won multiple awards and supplies Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, and Coop, with its much-loved range of meat-based products. As well as Scotland’s beloved square sausages, their product range includes burgers, black puddings and a reduced fat ‘skinny’ alternative.
Beyond the quality produce, We hae meat showcases a strong environmental ethos, fueling its entire operation at Cairnhill Farm with almost exclusively renewable energy, from a CHP plant and solar panels that have been built on the farm itself. The business has also transitioned its fleet of delivery vehicles to hybrid technology.
